About V2Ray Q&A Hub

Client downloads, setup guides, configuration help, and open-source ecosystem insights.

What does this site cover?

This independent V2Ray guide site provides client downloads, setup instructions, and troubleshooting help, so you can choose v2rayN, v2rayNG, or v2flyNG for your platform. Guides cover subscription imports, routing, DNS, and connection issues. We are not affiliated with client development projects and do not provide proxy servers or subscriptions.

New users can start with the quick-start guide. To install a client, visit the client downloads page and choose your platform and system architecture.

How are Project V and the cores related?

Project V is an open-source ecosystem of proxy tools that includes V2Ray. V2Fly continues community maintenance of the V2Ray core, while Xray is a separate core fork that evolved from V2Ray. Their features and configuration support have gradually diverged.

GUI clients manage subscriptions and settings; cores handle connections. Using the same protocol name does not mean every parameter is interchangeable. To check compatibility, verify both the client and the core it actually runs.

How is the content maintained?

Download links are included only when their sources can be verified. We check where they lead, the redirect path, and whether the download matches the platform and architecture; a button alone is not proof of a trustworthy source. Tutorials are based on repeatable, hands-on testing in graphical interfaces, with client versions and core requirements clearly distinguished. When interfaces change, we explain what settings do rather than relying on button locations that may no longer match.

If the steps differ on your setup, search by issue in the Help Center, then check the tutorial's prerequisites one by one.

What should I know before using these guides?

This site's content is for software education and lawful network configuration. Follow the laws and regulations where you live, network policies, and applicable service terms; assess for yourself whether a configuration or third-party service is suitable. Examples may not fit every network environment. Back up your current settings before making changes, and remove subscription URLs, account details, and other sensitive information before sharing logs.
